Have A Nice Day follows a young black man determined to carry all the grocery bags in the house in one trip. However, a short walk to the front door turns into an unexpected adventure through the neighborhood where he encounters a mysterious man with one goal, to slice open his grocery bags and prevent him from getting to the house.

Ephraim Nehemiah

Jonathan Kemp is a multi-disciplined filmmaker known for his storytelling, writing, and directing skills.

He received a B.A. in Cinema/Television. He taught grad and undergrad production courses at Regent University, where he took a deep dive into cinematography while running and maintaining a multi-million-dollar performing arts center and film equipment rental office. His work has been recognized internationally and screened at multiple festivals.

Jonathan founded Kickphase, an independent film production company whose mission is to craft cultural-defining films that reclaim, redefine, and reinvent the black mind through artistic, imaginative, and authentic portraits of blackness. His work aims to equip black filmmakers with the tools, resources, and education needed to tell stories that black audiences deserve to hear without the need for approval from the institutions that have prevented them.

Jonathan is currently in the process of developing the screenplay for his debut feature film, About That Time.
